Teeth can be responsive to certain temperatures. The severity of sensitivity can vary due to each person’s threshold and issues that may arise regarding your teeth. Extreme sensitivity could be because of a crack tooth, clenching or grinding, irritated nerves or root sensitivity. Mild sensitivity can reflect cavities, erosion or abrasion.

Everyone’s needs can vary when it comes to regular dental visit. Generally, we recommend for patients to come every 6 months, however for some patients who have gum disease or suffer from a high caries rate may need to come in more frequent.

Prevention is always better than the cure. By having regular visits to the Dentist and the Oral Hygienist, it reduces the patients risk of dental decay, erosion, gum disease, receding gums and oral cancers.

You can get whiter teeth using a take-home kit or a Zoom in-chair teeth whitening session. Other options for whitening your smile are veneers or crowns.

Yes we do. We accept all health funds and can process your account through in our office with HICAPS. Just remember to bring your Health Fund card along to the appointment so we can provide this service for you.

It’s not uncommon to hear that patients are nervous about having dental treatment done. Here at GC Dental Solutions we can help calm those nerves with Nitrous Oxide (happy gas), IV Sedation or under a General Anaesthetic.

A root canal treatment (RCT) is recommended to patients when their tooth has an infected pulp (nerve). This could be from a cavity, trauma, fracture or from previous treatment to the tooth and unfortunately a filling or restoration does not remove the infection inside a tooth.

There are numerous ways that gap can be closed. Implants, bridges, dentures, fillings, veneers and crowns can all close gaps depending on the type of gap you have. Why not book a consultation with GC Dental Solutions to see what treatment option would be best suited for you?

Temporary crowns are meant to come off however, we want them to come off when we insert your final crown. Should your temporary crown come off before your next appointment please contact GC Dental Solutions. If you have the temporary crown, please keep the temporary to bring in with you.

Amalgam restorations can be replaced with white tooth coloured materials if they have reached their expiration or at your request.

There are numerous options available to replace teeth with implants. Single Implants can used to close small gaps. Multiple Implants can be used to restore sections of missing teeth with bridges or whole arches with All on 4 treatment. Contact GC Dental Solutions to find out what treatment would be best suited for your mouth.

Patient Changing Appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we ask that you try to give GC Dental Solutions at least 72 hours' notice (3days) as appointments are often at a premium and we may be able to offer this time to other patients urgently requiring treatment.

Unfortunately, if a patient has failed to attend appointments or cancelled repeatedly at short notice (3 occasions or more), we will require 50%-100% (depending on the treatment) of the cost towards the next appointment booked. This is to be paid at the time of booking.

GC Dental Solutions Changing Appointment:

Appointment changes are not something we take lightly, and we do apologise for any inconvenience in advance.

If we need to change your appointment, we will always endeavour to advise you at the earliest opportunity.

Unfortunately, from time to time, we will need to change your appointment. Especially as sometimes factors outside of our control do affect the appointment booking. We kindly ask for your support and understanding during these occasions. Our caring reception team will attempt to contact you to arrange a mutually suitable alternative.

Appointments For Treatment Under General Anaesthetic:

Please be advised: general anaesthetic surgery dates are provisional. Much like in a hospital setting there are many factors and essential precautions that must be considered.

We will endeavour to confirm the date 72 hours' prior (3 days) to surgery. The required arrival time will be communicated 24 hours prior (1 day) to surgery by the anaesthetic team.

On the unfortunate occasion that later changes are required, the support teams will advise the patient at the earliest opportunity.

We therefore take this opportunity to remind all our patients that suggested dates are not confirmed at consultations or prior appointments, and we cannot guarantee requested date.

Alterations to provisional dates are at the discretion of both the anaesthetic team and GC Dental Solutions and flexibility is advised.
